Don't worry this is not a politically charged post, I try to avoid those. Even when I had my talk radio show on KLIF 570 here in Dallas I would avoid sharing too many political views. But on the same note I have never made it a secret that I have been a long time fan of Ron Paul and more recently his son Rand. Why? Let's just say I think he is one of the only politicians who refused to be "bought". With that said I was very excited when I saw an interview with Rand Paul yesterday saying that vaccines should be a parental choice. His exact words, "I think the parent should have some input. The state doesn't own our children. Parents own the children." And later on in the interview "...it ought to be voluntary". But then he even took it a step further, which I would have not expected someone who is considering a presidential run in 2016, "I've heard of many tragic cases of walking, talking normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines," You can read the and watch the interview here. Let me remind you that Rand Paul is a doctor, and so is his father Ron. Wow, a doctor willing to admit that vaccine reactions are real. If you have been keeping up with my blogs or posts you already know that I found this refreshing because I have been predicting that our rights in regards to vaccines are about to be taken away. And that is why there is such a media attack and blitz on the topic this year, they are "posturing up".
These measles outbreaks aren't new, just look at an episode of The Doctors in 2008 when there was a larger outbreak of measles than the current one. You can watch the segment here. All the doctors agreed that it is a personal right to opt out of vaccines. Why not all the outrage in 2008? Larger outbreak. Maybe the agenda was't quite set yet. Well anyway back to Rand, today he has been popular news. Being attacked by the media (And their corporate sponsors) for telling the truth. It goes against the agenda, doesn't help their plan. Time magazine ran a piece calling him cranky, you can see it here. There has been other other headlines like "Rand Paul dead wrong on Vaccines" or "Rand Paul says Alarming things about Vaccines." And they are painting him like a quack. It is unbelievable, they are even going so far as to say vaccines do not cause any damage. When the MMR vaccine insert lists "brain inflammation" as one of the potential side effects. Not to mention the thousands of parents of vaccine injured kids. Or the fact that last year, 2014, the US Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, paid out $80,310,705.54 to victims and families of victims of vaccine injuries or deaths. Or that Dr. Poland who is the leader of the Mayo Clinic Vaccine Research Team says, "The genetic predisposition of others makes them susceptible to harm from the measles vaccine." Let's ignore all that or the countless research that vaccines can cause harm. Rand is just a quack and he is definitely not going to ever become president with those views. Very bad for business.
